Hannah's House Playschool

Hannah's House Playschool is a small in-home childcare program owned and operated by Hannah Sandler, an Iowa City native. Located near Mercer Park, Southeast Junior High, and 1st Avenue Hy-Vee, Playschool was established in September of 2014 to provide local families with safe, enriching childcare for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years and is open Monday thru Thursday 8 am to 5 pm. Enrollment options include 2-, 3-, or 4-day weeks. Half-day options are not currently available.
Hannah's House values outdoor exploration, time spent in nature, organic gardening, creating with a variety of art supplies, individual expression, gentle parenting, child-led learning, and operates on routine rather than set schedule.
We celebrate LGBTQ+ families as well as those of all cultures, races, religions, and nationalities.
Breastfeeding and cloth diapers welcome.
The cost per day is $46, and includes morning and afternoon snack, as well as lunch. Families supply diapers and pull-ups, but wipes are provided for your convenience. Tuition is billed monthly and is due on or before the first of the month.
To find your monthly total, please multiple price per day x number days per week enrolled x 4.2 weeks per month. This accounts for shorter and longer months and allows tuition to remain consistent all year long.
